Hi all,

I'm looking for an experienced Ruby developer to join our team at YardLink.

Some background on the company:
Within the construction industry, a lot of equipment is rented,
particularly in the UK. This is where we are focused, aiming to disrupt and
modernise a largely old school industry. The team is about 3 years old. The
first 2 years have been focused on building a Rails platform that now
operationally powers the company. This last year we have been pivoting
towards a customer segment that offers a 10x larger opportunity.

We have recently won a grant for an exciting innovation project. This will
subsidise the first few months of a couple of developers positions (this
ruby focussed role and a JS role, or 2 full stack). This grant based
funding will be used to spend a few months prototyping a new React Native
app, an associated new web interface (either rails or react js), as well as
key Ruby API & backend work.

Beyond this 6 month timeline, we are planning several integrations with
SaaS partners, and the team will also be modernising our stack from Rails 5
to either Rails 6 or Rails 6 + React SPAs (there will be a team discussion
that this candidate will be involved in, to decide this technical path).

This will be a fully remote role, open to UK residents. Previously London
based, our team is now fully remote. For those that prefer working in an
office environment, team members have an option to hot desk using the
Desana workspace network.
