Hello,

I run the tech team at ToucanBox, where we provide kids crafts as a
subscription (hopefully helping a lot of parents during lockdown...)
https://www.toucanbox.com.

We’re looking for someone to help us improve the UX for our customers,
primarily on our websites but potentially beyond that looking at the
overall customer lifetime. This is not necessarily a Ruby role: our backend
is mostly Ruby, but there’s plenty of Vue.js on the front end too, and
recently more vanilla JS and we’ve been playing with Hotwire
<https://hotwire.dev>. It’s also not necessarily a design role – we have a
design team here who could support. If that’s a little vague I guess it’s
because we’re happy to take a steer from an experienced UX person as to
what aspects they should cover!

This would likely be a contract role (initially at least), and we’re
flexible on rates/timing depending on experience and hammering out the
scope between us. I’ve been at ToucanBox for more than three years now,
it’s a very friendly place to work, and people have a real sense that we’re
on a positive mission.

If that sounds worth a conversation, or if you know anyone you would
recommend for something like this, we’d be grateful for a chat/intro!

Kind regards,

Leo
