[LRUG] [ANN] LRUG September meeting details

Hello all,

I hope you’re excited for tomorrow! As a bit of background, I’m going to be running a version of this workshop at Rubyconf in November. This workshop is a work-in-progress and so I’d be very grateful for any constructive feedback after the workshop.

In order to complete the workshop exercises, I’d like you to have two things ready. 

Firstly, I’ve taken a Rails app and got it all set up and ready. It’s preferable you use this for the first part of the workshop. To do this, fork your own version of https://github.com/JadeDickinson/abalone and then follow the setup instructions:

Secondly, to help you apply what you’ll learn, I’ll set aside some time towards the end to go over the setup for a personal or work project. Ideally, for this part pick a project you’d like to optimise an area of.
