[LRUG] Framebuffer type library

hello

I'm looking for a library that will let me open an X window and draw  
lines and circles on it, possibly as part of some larger widget library.

I have lots of experience with rmagick doing image processing but  
I've never done any windowed stuff in ruby, so pointers appreciated :-)
