+1 for hacker jobs. I've been hired through it once and have come in for
meetings with leads from there on multiple occasions. Generally high
standard of client.
As a dev you'll need to bring your sales and negotiation skills to the
table, but in this market that isn't particularly hard[1]. You also get the
benefit of building a direct relationship with the client, which is great
for ongoing work and referrals.

is
*always* better than the hirers. You can walk into another job with
fizzbuzz and a pulse (optional). They get to watch their business
initiatives slip even further into the distance. Enjoy it while it lasts!
