Randomly we had much success with the ulu jobs site.

The biggest and most stupid mistake we made was paying totaljobs to
advertise because apparently they're a specialist IT site... Never seen

+1 for hacker jobs. I've been hired through it once and have come in for
meetings with leads from there on multiple occasions. Generally high
standard of client.

As a dev you'll need to bring your sales and negotiation skills to the
table, but in this market that isn't particularly hard[1]. You also get the
benefit of building a direct relationship with the client, which is great
for ongoing work and referrals.

[1] In negotiating parlance, in todays market your

is
*always* better than the hirers. You can walk into another job with
fizzbuzz and a pulse (optional). They get to watch their business
initiatives slip even further into the distance. Enjoy it while it lasts!
