Happy Friday people!

I'm Sam <https://www.linkedin.com/in/sambarton/>, I'm CTO at Smart Pension,
yes, the word pension is in our name, but we're often described by people
who meet us as a technology company that does pensions - as that is exactly
who we are. There is a photo below that shows our teams and how we focus on
engineering.

We've recently had our 5th birthday, but have maintained a clean code base
and have a smooth CI and CD process that means we deploy many times a day.

The team has grown to 65 engineers complemented by scrum managers, QA,
product owners, UI/UX, and engineering management. Teams of 6-8 people work
on features based on skill set and as our roadmap has increased we are
looking to add more teams to work on exciting new features. These features
now manage hundreds of thousands of customers and invest tens of millions
of pounds of their money each month via our platform. So it is a very real
business that is dedicated to looking after our customers' futures, whilst
using the latest technology. This has attracted investment from near and
far, most recently from JP Morgan

As we've grown, we've held on to our startup culture, which is amusing when
we're playing pool/PS4 and drinking beer in the office and inviting
adjacent firms to join us who are not familiar with this approach to
