Hello!

My team at Lavanda is looking for an experienced crafter who is fluent in
*Ruby* (language) and competent with Javascript/Typescript - Typescript
experience not strictly required. Real-life experience with *event
sourcing* would
be a *bonus*.

We’re mainly looking for enthusiasm for collaboration and belief in extreme
programming practises.

This will (hopefully) be an attractive opportunity for a crafter to have an
impact on application architecture whilst doing mostly product engineering,
contributing to the global scaling of an established startup and having
lots of fun working with a very lively, bright and diverse team.

*Work model*

   - This is a fully remote permanent position.
   - The team is currently distributed across UK time +-2 hours time zones.
   The majority of the team is based in the UK. We don’t mind the location of
   candidates as long as schedules are compatible (we don’t exactly
employ an *async
   remote* model of work for a number of reasons, the amount of pairing we
   do being my favourite).

*How your day-to-day would look like at Lavanda*

   - *every day:* 15 min time-boxed remote standup involving the entire
   Product team (12 people currently) at 9 AM UK time; quite a bit of remote
   pairing with different members of the team
   - *once a week:* a project review and planning session; a team wide
   virtual gathering with updates from the management team + internal talks or
   team experiences
   - *every month:* architecture workshops with Frontend/Backend guilds
   - sporadically: technical design sessions of Epics in small groups
   - [optional] every fortnight, a remote donut with a randomly assigned
   colleague, if that takes your fancy
