Hi all,
Another reminder that our December meeting is this coming Monday, 12th
December. If you haven’t signed up but are planning to come along, please
do so today. We’ve to send a list of attendees to the venue later today to
generate QR codes for access, and while they’ve assured us that late
signups will be able to get in, it’ll be easier if you have the QR code
apparently.
To avoid all that please do:
1. Read our code-of-conduct at https://readme.lrug.org/#code-of-conduct so
you understand the standard that we hold your behaviour to
2. Book your place via eventbrite at
https://www.eventbrite.com/e/london-ruby-user-group-december-2022-meeting-tickets-475342250467
This is what you’ll be missing if you don’t attend:
* “Heaping on the Complexity” by Matt Valentine-House - a talk diving into
how ruby’s garbage collector works
* “What does ‘high priority’ mean? The secret to happy queues” by Daniel
Magliola - a talk on how to manage background queues
